During the 3:15 minute mark of the start of the match Senegalse left -back and left- midfielder Saliou Ciss recieved a volley pass and dribbled his way into the penalty box and was fouled by Egypts defender Mohamed Abdelmonem .Referee Victor Gomes Called a penalty Kick Egyptian Keeper Abou Gaba Ali made a terrific save from Sadio Mane to keep the scores Leveled at nil nil.

2. Senegal Offensive Attack

Right off the bat Senegal showed relentless offensive pressure attack. possession was 58% for Senegal and just 42% for Egypt. Senegal showed more team work with 81 % pass accuracy on 535 passes with 13 Shots , 8 of the shots on target compare to Egypt with 7 total shots and only 3 on target .There were 30 total fouls called on Egypt compared to 23 called on Senegal .This shows how much offensive pressure Senegal had controlling the pace of most of the game

3. Mo Salah VS. Sadio Mane

Mo salah and Sadio Mane teammates of the Premier League club Liverpool met in the Finals for battle for Championship. The battle was quickly summed up by both defenses .

Mo Salah had a few chances to create off the drive with is quickness but the Senegalese defense and goal keeping proved to be unstoppable. Mane had more close assists where as Mo Salah had more dribbles and shots on goal .

All in all Sadio Mane won the battle .

4. Goal Keeping

Both Goal Keepers were superb.

Abou Gabal Ali seen more action as the Senegalese showed more offensive pressure. Edouard Mendy who plays for the English premier league Club Chelsea came up big in this game , and won the goal keeping battle . Mendy made more important saves . Hats off to Abou Ali for keeping the game Leveled, it could've been a lot worse .

5.Extra Time

In extra time we've seen more offensive attack from Egypt .Egypt also had good looks at corners and free kicks senegals Mendy proved to be unstoppable once again, keeping the score leveled at nil nil heading to penally shootouts .

6.Final penalty shootouts

Even though Senegals penalty kicks were not that convincing they somehow managed to go in. Senegals Goal Keeper Mendy came up big with some amazing saves, Egypts penalty shots were not on target . Giving Senegal 4-2 win on penalties.

7. Champions

Congratulations to Senegal winning the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) this was one of the most intense games to watch, Senegal was the Stronger team, the showed resilience and team work until the shootouts .Edouard Mendy was definitely the Man of the Match and Congrats to Sadio Mane on the game winning penalty kick after missing one earlier in game. Respect to Mo Salah and Egypt better luck next time.
