It’s been 5 months since the Russian invasion of Ukraine. On February 24/22 the world has witnessed what could be “This is the closest we ever gotten to World War 3”. We want to know what’s going and why is there still war in Ukraine, not to mention the COVID-19 Pandemic is not getting any better. We want to know who the key players in the war are and who are the top negotiators in settling the war and calling for peace and truce. Here are the top 10 players in Ukraine war Vs. Russia.
1. Vladimir Putin

Vladimir Putin is the mastermind in this war with 20 years of experience as an ex-KGB agent. Putin is a remarkable at implementing strict polices and find strategies to counterplan, He is well prepared for strategic response mission, that’s able to take the enemy by surprise. Put has capable defense systems to maneuver and execute his schemes. Put has a vision of re-establishing Russia to the former Soviet Union, which was powerful. Putin has showed the world countless times that he is able to flex his muscle and show he is a superpower. Putin is incorporating his policies and whoever gets in his way is considered and enemy. Injecting heavy Russian influence on global scale and bringing a sense of pride to Russia is Putin’s final aims.
“Putin presents himself a man with power and vision and his ultimate destiny is to restore Russia to old soviet Era
Michael Blake-professor of philosophy, public policy, and governance at the university of Washington
2. Volodymyr Zelenskyy

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is a fascinating charismatic leader who quickly gained prominence after Russian invasion on February 24/2022. Zelenskyy has taken office on May 20th/2019.Prior to his political career, Zelenskyy has a law degree from Kyiv National Economic University. He also pursued a career in comedy and acting and eventually created a production company called Kvartal 95. Kvartal produced films, cartoons, TV shows, including TV series “Servant of the People.” Servant of the people aired 2015-2019 and was very popular show in Ukraine and Europe giving Volodymyr Zelenskyy popularity to run for presidency.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy is an inexperienced president. His political party is run by his Production Company Kvartal 95, which has no experience in law or politics, nor do they possess qualifications to run the country. Zelenskyy should be removed because he’s causing more turmoil to Ukraine people who are suffering the most because of the war. Zelenskyy should be investigated for war crimes against his own people. He is a charismatic leader, but this war needs to end ASAP because it is suicide for Ukraine!
3. Joe Biden

United States President Joe Biden is a pragmatist, meaning that he has a philosophy that considers words and thoughts as a tools and instruments for prediction and problem solving, it rejects on the ideas that describe or represent or mirror reality. A pragmatist can consider something to be true without needing to confirm that it is universally true, for example “if humans commonly perceive the ocean as beautiful then the ocean is beautiful.”
Joe Biden is the 46th President of United States. Joe Biden can exercise and flex his powers as the world’s number one superpower, Joe Biden is governing the largest economy and largest military power in the world. The proxy war in Ukraine is really between United States and Russian and its over oil / gas just like all the other previous wars. Biden is realizing that Vladimir Putin is a no pushover. United States should stop escalating and intensifying the war its only prolonging the war and halting peace talks. Ukraine, United States and NATO and Russia should be investigated by the ICC and international community for deliberately escalating the war.
4.Sergey Lavrov

Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is key in brokering a peace deal or a breakthrough in talks, Lavrov was involved in brokering a peace deal in 2014 in war in Crimea, so he has an experience team who are familiar with Ukraine. Sergey Lavrov believes United States and the West is wasting time in the talks to end the war. Lavrov compares the talks with United States to “speaking with a deaf person” and that chance for a breakthrough in the talks are very slim.
5.Sergei Shoigu

Sergey Shoigu is Russian Defense Minister and holds the ranks of a General of the Russian Army, He is the potential successor of Vladimir Putin, giving that they are very close. Shoigu masterminded and orchestrated the invasion of Crimea in 2014. Shoigu has said that the relationship with the West is close to zero and this point.
6. Dmytro Kuleba

Dmytro Kuleba is the Ukrainian Foreign Minister and a member of its National Defense and Security Council. He plays a key role because he repeatedly downplays Russian invasion and accuses United States of exaggerating the danger. He misrepresents Ukraine and minimizes the problems and is responsible for prolonging the war in Ukraine.
7. Denis Pushilin

Denis Pushilin is the self-proclaimed People’s Republic of Donetsk and Luhansk; the leader of the Donbas region is backed by Russia. After the annexation of Crimea in 2014, these two areas in eastern Donbas region declared independence from Ukraine. HE is the lead in the Donbas region and has close ties with Russia.
8. Alexander Lukashenko

The President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko plays an important role in this war because he is true friends with Vladimir Putin, they have mutual support for their economies and maintain close ties with their Russian neighbour. Belarus is close to Kyiv, there are military drills performed by Russia in Belarus, if there were to be an attack, Belarus and Russian army can easily attack from Belarus.
9.Europe

European leaders like France and Turkey have been trying to negotiate with their Russian counterparts but no deal or breakthroughs have taken place. Macron is using the same accord, The Minsk Accord to solve the problem. Macron has been criticized for stepping in, some of his interventions and ideas were seen as controversial. Germanys new Chancellor Olaf Scholz is under pressure from the West to close the Nord Stream 2 pipeline. pressure by the west to block the pipeline is not helping with the talks in stopping the war.
10. NATO

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization is made up of 30 members across Europe and America. Putin’s main concern is NATO’s dominance is spreading across eastern Europe and Russia as the second World Superpower can’t allow that to happen. Vladimir Putin sees NATO’s expansion as a threat. If NATO uses its troops to help Ukraine, then Russia will call on their allies into the war, escalating and prolonging the war, common sense.
It’s been 5 months since the Russian invasion in Ukraine. So far, the world has seen no progress in the talks, and it looks like the war is escalating and more pressure from the international community to joining the war. This prolongs the war and halts any peace talks in negotiations, simply the Ukraine and its Allies are escalating the war. United States and NATO is responsible for instigating and adding fuel to the fire. Russia is only responding to the threats made by United States and NATO and responding well to the NATO and United States expansion in eastern Europe.
